What Changes Will Take Place in Cloud Computing?

As you can probably imagine by now, many are eagerly waiting for what changes are going to be made in the world of Cloud Computing. The new technology that is going to be introduced into the marketplace will change how we do business forever. What exactly are these changes? Many people believe that there will be three major things that are revolutionary when it comes to Cloud Computing. One would be the introduction of a brand new technology that is called the Software as a Service model.

Cloud computing

With this new technology, businesses will no longer have to purchase any hardware or software in order to use cloud computing services. Instead, users will be able to access their files from virtually anywhere. With this new model, businesses will no longer need massive data centers or huge networks of computers. Rather, all they would need is a personal computer and a high-speed Internet connection.

Another revolutionary new Cloud Model that will be introduced is called the Software as a Service platform. With this model, IT groups will be able to create applications on the cloud using a client-server architecture. Rather than having thousands of servers to maintain, this new Cloud Model will make use of a client-server model that maintains only one server. With this architecture, there will be drastically less technical knowledge needed when it comes to running the services. Plus, this cloud model will allow clients to easily scale their services using a new web-based dashboard.

There are some who believe that there are going to be many more radical changes coming in the very near future. Some experts believe that Amazon’s ambitions with its acquisition of Simple Machines could mean that the cloud will replace all the current enterprise applications. What will happen when all the apps that were used in the past are replaced by the cloud? This is something that cannot be answered with certainty at this point in time.

However, the trend that can be observed is that the Cloud is moving forward at a rapid pace. What happens next will no longer be a big question. All the major players in the cloud computing field have at least discussed the possibility of creating a Cloud ecosystem where different players can collaborate on shared resources. What happens here is that one company will take the load off another company by providing it with access to a large pool of low-cost, high-capacity hardware and software. What this means for organizations is that they do not need to purchase as much hardware as they would need to do so.

In addition to this, Google recently announced that they are going to open-source tools that will allow clients to run their apps in the clouds. They are also looking to make the new releases of their Android mobile operating system available in the clouds. All these changes are an attempt to penetrate and capture the growing market share that is being taken up by the Cloud.

What changes will occur in the Cloud if Amazon and others continue to aggressively enter the market? What changes will take place in the larger infrastructure provider market? What other players will join the fight for cloud computing domination? To answer this question we will have to wait and see.

What changes are you noticing in the Cloud anyway? Are you noticing any new approaches companies are taking to the way they deliver software and what they deliver in terms of applications? What kind of hardware investments is being made? Are you seeing any new approaches in how software is delivered? If you are looking for answers to these questions and more, then you are in for quite a journey as technology continues to evolve.
